The City only accepts electronic bids on Public Works projects. Before a contractor may download bid, documents or submit an electronic bid on these City projects, they must register as a vendor. At this time, you are invited to visit the City of Elk Grove Vendor Portal to register as a vendor. Each agency utilizing PlanetBids has their own database of contractors and their own Vendor Portal, therefore, even if you are already registered at another agency using PlanetBids, you must create a new profile specifically for the City of Elk Grove. Upon successful registration, you will be sent a confirmation email and begin receiving Bid Alert emails when projects in your area of interest are posted.

Annual Pre-Qualification

Notice is hereby given that on February 12, 2014, the City of Elk Grove (City) determined that all bidders on public works to be undertaken by the City, generally with a contract value greater than $500,000, or as determined by the City Engineer, must be pre-qualified prior to submitting bids for public works. It is mandatory that all Licensed Contractors who intend to submit bids fully complete the pre-qualification questionnaire, provide all materials requested herein, and be approved by the City to be on the final Bidders list. No bid will be accepted from a Contractor that has failed to comply with these requirements.

The pre-qualification application should be submitted by email to [email protected] or under seal and marked CONFIDENTIAL to the City of Elk Grove, Attention: City Clerk, 8401 Laguna Palms Way, Elk Grove, CA 95758. Pre-qualification applications may be submitted during regular working hours on any day that the City of Elk Grove is open, Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pm
