On April 23, 2025, at 3:50 p.m., the Elk Grove Police Department responded to a call regarding a collision involving a motorcycle and an SUV in the 8100 block of Sheldon Road.
Upon arrival, officers discovered that a white SUV making a left turn from a designated turn lane on Sheldon Road had collided with a motorcyclist travelling eastbound on Sheldon Road. As a result of the collision the 23-year-old motorcyclist suffered life threatening injuries. Medical personnel rendered medical aid before transporting the motorcyclist to a local hospital. The motorcyclist later succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased. Identification of the motorcyclist will be made by the Sacramento County Coroner’s Office. The driver and rear passenger of the SUV were not injured and are cooperating with the investigation as well.
