Project Purpose and Overview
This Project will create a multifunctional corridor along Laguna Creek. The proposed Project will involve construction of an approximately half-mile long multi-functional corridor parallel to and crossing Laguna Creek located between East Stockton Boulevard and Camden Park. The multi-functional corridor will provide maintenance access to Laguna Creek and will also act as a future pedestrian and bicycle trail.
The multi-functional corridor will be elevated above existing ground surface elevation by approximately 2 feet. The surface of the corridor will include a 10-foot-wide paved surface with 2-feet-wide decomposed granite shoulders. Post and cable fencing will be installed at the edges of the unpaved shoulders. Two prefabricated steel truss bridges with concrete decks will provide necessary access across Laguna Creek.
The multi-functional trail Project will connect on the West with the Laguna Creek Inter-Regional Trail Crossing at State Route 99 Project (WTL016), which is currently in final design, and to the Camden Park Neighborhood on the East.
Current Status
Construction is anticipated to begin in May 2026, assuming no complications with the contract execution process. The construction work in anticipated to be complete in February 2027.
