Project Overview
City of Elk Grove (City) initiated the Project Approval and Environmental Document (PA/ED) phase for the Grant Line Road and Wilton Road Operational Improvements Project (Project) with project limits between De Souza Lane and Aleilani Lane to improve traffic operations to the intersection, consistent with the future widening of Grant Line and possible realignment of Wilton Road.
Project History
As you may know, the City completed a Grant Line Road Precise Roadway Plan Study (Study) and presented the Study to City Council on August 22, 2022. The Study included roundabout options and at the meeting City Council provided direction to staff to further evaluate Alternative 2A – Roundabouts at Wilton Road and Alelani Lane and Alternative 2C – Realigned Wilton Road with Roundabouts at New Wilton Road and Alelani Lane.
Current Phase
Project Approval and Environmental Document (PA&ED) phase through Summer 2025
Schedule
The next phase after PA&ED will be Final Design and Right of Way phase. Timing of Final Design, Right of Way and Construction is dependent on funding availability.
