Illegal fireworks can damage lives and property. Property owners and tenants can be cited for illegal fireworks used on or launched from their property. Administrative fines apply to illegal fireworks violations up to a maximum of $10,000. 

Whether they’re legal or not, bring your fireworks in for safe disposal. Cosumnes Fire Department, Elk Grove Code Enforcement, and Elk Grove Police Department have teamed up to host a Fireworks Drop-off Event on Saturday, June 20 from 10 AM to 3 PM at City Hall (8400 Laguna Palms Way). No fines, no trouble. No questions.
